The Simply45® S45-B003 is an 8.5mm (0.33") snagless strain relief for use with larger diameter shielded LAN cables. The S45-B003 is recommended for all Simply45® brand shielded with external ground RJ45 modular plugs. These 8.5mm strain reliefs protect the RJ45 modular plug and extend the useful life of the termination. Simply45® recommends that strain relief or boots should be used with all RJ45 terminations.

For Large Diameter LAN Cables. The Simply45® S45-B003 is designed to work with most large diameter LAN cables. It can work with cable diameters up to 8.5mm (0.33"). We recommend this strain relief/boot for all Shielded with External Ground RJ45 modular plugs. You can also use this strain relief with other unshielded large-diameter LAN cables such as Cat6 Shielded and Cat6 Shielded Direct Burial.

Fits Over the Terminated RJ45 Modular Plug. The S45-B003 is designed to fit over Simply45® shielded with external ground RJ45 modular plugs.

Prolongs Life of the Termination. The S45-B003 takes the strain off the terminated plug. When you do not use a strain relief, any contact with the plug or cable puts strain directly on the terminated plug. Over time this could cause one or more of the RJ45 pins to become loose. If a pin becomes loose, it will create electrical resistance. Resistance creates heat. This could then cause performance problems or damage to the device socket.

Maintains Correct Bend Radius of the Termination. The Simply45® S45-B003 Strain Relief protects the terminated RJ45 from damage during the life of the link or channel. Maintaining industry standards bend radius is important for maximizing the link/channel performance.

Clear Color S45-B003 strain reliefs come in a clear color so that it easily works with all cable jacket colors.

Snagless Design. S45-B003 strain relief are a snagless design preventing broken latch tabs on the RJ45 modular plugs.
