Sommer Cable 425-0201 SC-Magellan SPK Speaker Cable - per foot

Sommer Cable 425-0201 SC-Magellan SPK is a coaxial construction speaker cable used where a small outer diameter is required in connection with a large wire cross-section. Especially for cable conduits where the speaker cable lies between cables which emit strong interferences. Normally a copper mesh shielding is used for coaxial cables. However, this will render them unnecessarily stiff and inflexible, making multiple reeling almost impossible. Sommer uses a dual reversely stranded helical Cu mesh screen for this SPK cable. This offers better shielding than conventional copper braidings and makes the cable incredibly flexible.

When this cable is used as a speaker cable, the twisted screen is used as a second conductor. It has the same cross-section as the inner conductor.
